U.S.
and Canadian stakeholders are partnering in the development of NAIBER.
Coordination of the Institute
will be shared between U.S. and Canadian research institutions. Kansas
State will serve as the host of the U.S. coordinator and University of
Lethbridge will be home for the Canadian coordinator.
The activities and operation
of NAIBER will be managed by a Board of Directors made up of industry
representatives. The responsibilities of the Board will include:
Appointing coordinators to
manage the activities of NAIBER
Identifying and prioritizing
research and information needs of the industry in which NAIBER should be
involved
Determining funding needs and
identify and facilitate funding sources for the Institute
Championing and representing
NAIBER in relevant associations and organizations
Meeting annually to review and
assess the priorities and activities of NAIBER
The final structure and
membership of the Board of Directors has yet to be determined. Further
information will be posted, as the Institute moves forward in its planning and
development.
